January Meditation Challenge Day 14: Chakra Dance Meditation

Friday is moving day! 

As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a huge fan of moving meditation. I love doing walking meditations, gratitude walks, dance and anything else which engages the body to free the mind. 

Tonight sees me hosting the first online chakra dance meditation class of the year at 8pm GMT. I’m doing an in person event tomorrow as well and I’m so excited about introducing new people to this beautiful form of meditation. 

It’s hard to describe what chakra dance meditation is. It’s so much easier to simply experience it by joining in! 

We work though each of the seven main chakras, combining mindful movement with meditative practices to shift any blocks and get your energy flowing. Chakra dance is fully inclusive – you don’t need to have any dance experience or learn any moves. I’ve worked with people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels. It’s all about working with your body and being where you’re at. 

Since everyone is coming to it from their own perspective, it’s a very individual experience. It may be you need to work with your sacral chakra one week but next time, your throat needs clearing. No two sessions are ever the same, but one thing’s for sure – your mood will be lifted and your energies feel lighter once you’re done.
