Let's Get Digital, Digital
Self-Care February Day 28: Self-care via the internetWhen I was facilitating the Journey Through The Chakras retreat, I loved being able to hold space for women in precisely the way they needed. It was such a joy to be able to tailor the day to the unique needs of the attendees and adapt what I was doing to fit the energies of the day.
But I want to do more. I want to be able to help more people, wherever they are. And it occurred to me that with a few minor adjustments I could offer the retreat virtually. So I am super excited to announce an Online Journey Through The Chakras. We will move and meditate through the seven main chakras in an afternoon which will support you to learn more about yourself and what you need to power through your blocks and realise your full potential.
One thing the pandemic showed us all is that we are blessed to have the technology to facilitate events even when it’s not possible to be in the same place at the same time. I’ve had people from all around the world come to my chakra dancing classes and while nothing beats being able to hold a class in person, you can still enjoy all the benefits of mindful movement and meditation in the comfort of your own home.
The internet has opened so many doors for all of us. You can find videos on every subject under the sun on YouTube. You can go to workshops and lectures delivered by leaders in their field for a fraction of the price it would cost to attend a live event – and without the cost and hassle of travel and accommodation.
And so it is with self-care. If you’re feeling that you really need to be doing something, but you can’t find local classes or you don’t feel like you have the confidence to leave your home, go to the internet. You can find everything you need right there – inspiration, motivation and facilitation.
I’ve heard people say that magic and spirituality doesn’t work online. My experiences say otherwise. And I don’t just mean as a teacher – I’ve been lucky enough to have healing over the internet, psychic readings over the internet, and all sorts of other wonderfully woo woo encounters. Spirituality on the internet is as real as anything else you find online.
So if you had to miss out on the Glastonbury Journey Through the Chakras for whatever reason, you now have a second chance to have the same beautifully empowering experience as the wonderful women who joined me this weekend.
